Hello. I am Nick - a fully qualified teacher, music tutor, performer and producer with a speciality working in a 1-1 setting.

I teach guitar, bass, piano, drums, ukulele and banjo. I have 15 years experience working with all ages, from adults looking to expand their musical horizons, to young children searching for the instrument that creates a spark.

I work in various settings in and out of academic institutions and in my home studio in Herne Hill. I tutor all ages and abilities, from pre-school ukulele, to folk guitar enthusiasts, music production and songwriting as well as jamming and performing.

I build my lessons around my student’s specific passions. Experience has taught me everyone can excel, no matter their age, background or starting point.

Brilliant teaching from Nick. The first thing I want to do after my lesson is go back to my piano and practice what we have done together. He knows how to keep lessons both fun and a little bit challenging, and always tailored to what I want to work with on the day. Be it focusing on a new piece, bringing a few tunes back to memory for a birthday party, getting to grips with music theory or motor skills that'll come in handy soon, song writing or improvisation, Nick has it covered, making each lesson varied and different from the last. He knows when to gently encourage and when to slow down, but globally also, he knows when it's worth pushing through a little longer, and when to take a break and maybe focus one something else for a few weeks, so I always feel like I am making progress. Oh, and did I mention, a great sense of humour and a delight to be around. Can't wait for my next lesson!

Nick is the most wonderful guitar teacher. He has an amazing skill of making me feel completely relaxed in the lesson.
